Last month, we visited a cardón cactus forest near Guaymas. It was pretty amazing.
These cacti are kind of a mix between saguaros and organ pipes. There are many cardón cacti in this area, but supposedly few saguaros. Meanwhile, the cardón do not extend into Arizona (at least we don't think they do...), but Arizona has many saguaros.
