"This is going to sound weird, but I love your public bone"

That's what our senior midwife said to me tonight at our 37-week appointment. "This is going to sound weird, but I love your public bone."

Natalie: Really, why?
Laura: Because you can get under it. It's like the St. John's bridge. (a suspension bridge in Portland that looks like the Golden Gate bridge, but much smaller).

So funny. Some women, she said, have flat public bones. Some have pubic bones that are slightly concave. Mine is convex, making it easier for the baby to move under it on its way out.

That's great news you will appreciate in the near future. Did she say you were "ready" or "any time now" or "coming along nicely".
I've been trying some of your recipes out on me and Kirk so I am familiar with them. Really yummy! Mmmmm!
