Eliot enjoyed his first birthday party on Saturday. His birthday was Wednesday, and Daddy brought home cupcakes to celebrate. On Saturday, a dozen or so friends came over, including three little friends (Isaac, 21 months; Penelope, 16 months; and Isabel, 19 months). Mama made a chocolate buttermilk cake with banana cream frosting that was delicious. Then we opened gifts!

Eliot seemed to really enjoy the party. He knew all the attention was on him, which he relished. And he was sometimes a bit clingy to mom and/or dad, but sometimes very independent and played with his toys and the other kids (or next to the other kids). He is enjoying is new gifts! Especially the books.
