All about animals

For Eliot right now, it's all about animals. Life is all about animals. He loves the zoo. And he loves to make animals sounds for pig (snorting, not the "oink"), horse, dog, and lion. Every time you say "piggy," he snorts. One of his favorite toys is a little rubber pig (I think I posted before about how he likes to sleep with it). And his lion roar is so cute; it's kind of a whisper.

The other day, Brady and I were upstairs with Eliot, getting dressed and what not for the day. The dogs were up there too, staring intently at Brady, telling him that they were very hungry. And Brady asks me, "Natalie, did you feed the dogs?" I replied, "Yes, I did." Brady looks at the dogs and says, "You're lyin'!" And Eliot, who has been playing on the floor with I-don't-know-what, looks up and whispers, "Roar."

That is too funny! Patrick loves animals too. His word was "doggie" and he love barking and meowing. He doesn't do a lion though. Speaking of lions, Eliot would like a book we recently got from the library, "Would They Love a Lion?" by Kady MacDonald Denton. Cute and imaginative.

Awww... I remember my older kiddo (now almost two) learning his first animal noise, which was "moo!" ~ he loved it and we heard it a LOT!

Cute cute cute cute!!!!

Not on the topic of animals, but when Avery was 2ish. I was in the kitchen cleaning up from breakfast (waffles), she was on the counter beside me scribbling on paper (making a "grocery list"). I was telling her items to write on the list, "We need more waffles Avery, put waffles on the list." She reaches past me, takes a handful of waffle scraps from a plate and puts it on top of her paper. She put waffles on the list.

I love love love kids!!!!
