Sorrel Sessions

I never did post this story about eating sorrel. In early April, we went to Oxbow Regional Park along the Sandy River just to play outside and have some fun. It's a nice park for kids, because the trails are very short but also very "outdoorsy." There's a grove of old-growth trees, access to the river, a great playground, and some nice picnic area. While walking down one of the trails, we showed Eliot sorrel and we ate some, and suggested he try it. And he LOVED it. We picked bunches of it, he ate a ton of it, and we picked some for the ride home. It was really fun. He just sat down at various places on the trail, in patches of sorrel, and chowed down.
